Donald Trump warned Iran on Thursday, April 9, against blocking ships wishing to cross the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime route controlled by Tehran, which had blocked it in recent weeks.
The American president stated in a post on his Truth Social platform “information about Iran charging fees to tankers crossing the Strait of Hormuz.”
“They have been ordered not to do so, and if they do, they had better stop now!” added Donald Trump on the second day of the precarious ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
In a second message a few minutes later, Donald Trump also stated: “Very quickly, you will see oil start to flow in abundance, with or without Iran’s help.”
Before commenting in a third message in the evening: “Iran is really doing a bad job, some would say unworthy, of allowing oil to cross the Strait of Hormuz.”
“This is not the agreement we have!” exclaimed the American president.
