After obtaining his diploma from the People’s Security Academy in 2019, Doan Van Chi joined the Department of Security Investigations of the Army Security Protection Bureau. Thanks to the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Party Committee and unit commanders, as well as the unwavering support of his peers, Doan Van Chi quickly adapted to the unit’s work, successfully completing the tasks assigned to him and excelling in certain missions.
With youthful enthusiasm and remarkable ability to identify threats to national security in general and military security in particular, Doan Van Chi consistently and proactively provides sound advice and relevant solutions to his superiors at all levels, ensuring military security. His proposals, notably linked to scientific research, are diverse and comprehensive.
In early 2023, upon noticing certain gaps in the protection of state secrets within the Vietnam People’s Army, in some services and units, he proposed with determination to conduct the research project titled “Preventing leaks and losses of state secrets in the Vietnam People’s Army today” to his superiors at all levels. This project was successfully approved by the general political department and selected to participate in the 24th edition of the Youth Innovation Prize of the Army.
Although the unit accomplished significant work in 2023, the professional workload became increasingly demanding. However, fueled by his passion for scientific research, Doan Van Chi made continuous efforts to achieve his set goals.
With enthusiasm, determination, and keen passion, Doan Van Chi was rewarded for his efforts, receiving recognition and praise from his organization. In 2023, he excellently fulfilled his professional duties, serving as editor-in-chief and co-editor of three articles published in both internal and external scientific journals within the army. He also successfully conducted his research work, earning him the titles of Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level and Party member who fulfilled his duties with excellence. He received congratulations from the head of the general political department and a merit certificate from the director of the security and protection department of the army for his remarkable contributions to scientific research.
Additionally, he is also the chief editor of a monograph titled “Preventing leaks and losses of state secrets in the Vietnamese People’s Army today,” published by the People’s Army Publishing House in March 2024.
During an interview, Doan Van Chi expressed his desire to further contribute to military security and shared that this motivates him to overcome challenges, including the constraint of time, which remains a major obstacle. His scientific research activities often extend late into the night, sometimes until 2 a.m.
According to Colonel Le Dang Thai, head of the political affairs department of the security and protection department of the army, Doan Van Chi is a meticulous and methodical young officer, always enthusiastic, eager to learn, and determined to successfully complete all missions entrusted to him. A very promising officer, he is highly appreciated and trusted by the department’s hierarchy, Party committee, and security investigation division when assigned missions.
