K-Motors, specializing in high-power electronic switches for electric mobility, announces the closing of a 5 million euro financing round (3M equity/2M debt). This operation will allow the company to reach a crucial milestone: moving from the proof of concept phase to industrial scale and beginning to deploy its technology. The funds raised will enable the industrialization of the technology, the launch of the first customer productions from 2026, and the structuring of commercial deployment in Europe and the United States.

The entry of Kyocera Ventures into K-Motors’ capital brings an international dimension and opens up export opportunities – the company signed its first contracts in the United States in 2025. Additionally, the participation of Bpifrance through its Bpifrance Amorçage Industriel fund confirms the strategic dimension of the project for French industrialization and the support from Région Sud Investissement, LCL, Société Générale, and CEPAC anchors this development in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

A strategic recruitment to accelerate commercial growth

Concurrently with this funding round, K-Motors announces the recruitment of Marc Giraudot as Head of Sales. With proven experience at Saqara, where he contributed to structuring the commercial deployment of groundbreaking technology, Marc Giraudot brings valuable expertise to K-Motors: transforming industrial innovation into commercial success on a large scale. His appointment is directly aligned with the strategy to conquer European and American markets.

The PowerSwitcher: a technological breakthrough for electric mobility

At the core of K-Motors’ technology is the PowerSwitcher: a high-power electronic switch that revolutionizes energy management in electric vehicles. Where traditional solutions involve multiple components and points of failure, the PowerSwitcher integrates all these functions into a single intelligent module, making it more reliable, lighter, and more efficient.

It addresses two strategic needs for manufacturers:

– Battery protection The PowerSwitcher replaces all traditional protection components in a single module: contactors, fuses, pre-charge circuits, and sensors. Its almost instant reaction protects the vehicle against any electrical incidents without manual intervention. The result is increased reliability, reduced maintenance, and significant weight savings.

– Energy source hybridization The PowerSwitcher intelligently combines multiple energy sources within a single vehicle. It real-time optimizes the contribution of each source, prolongs battery life, and enhances energy recovery during braking. This flexibility is a crucial advantage for manufacturers looking to diversify from a single battery chemistry dependence.

“This funding round is a significant milestone for K-Motors. It allows us to move from the proof of concept phase to industrial scale. We have validated our technology with demanding OEMs; now it’s time to deploy it. I thank all our partners for their trust and commitment.” – Nelson Lukes, CEO of K-Motors

“The technology developed by K Motors is extremely interesting for electric mobility. It should position K Motors as a niche player very well positioned in the value chain and offers promising growth prospects. We are proud to support this dynamic and ambitious team.” – Raphaël DIDIER, Director of Bpifrance Amorçage Industriel Fund

“Shareholder of K-Motors since 2022, Région Sud Investissement participates in this new round to support the company in its industrialization phase. This decision is based on the experience and commitment of the management team, the strength of the team, the differentiating nature of the developed technology, and the initial industrial validations obtained from manufacturers.” – Pierre Joubert, General Director of Région Sud Investissement

“K-Motors is developing innovative technology to address key challenges of performance and efficiency in electric mobility. Their approach to energy management has the potential to improve vehicle performance and extend battery life. We are delighted to support the team in developing solutions that will contribute to the next generation of electrified transport.” – Rick Johnson, Director of Investments at Kyocera Ventures
