Paris Saint-Germain and Racing Club de Strasbourg have asked the Professional Football League (LFP) to postpone their Ligue 1 matches in mid-April, against Lens and Brest respectively, according to Radio France’s sports department on Monday, March 23, from a source close to the matter, confirming information from the newspaper L’Equipe.
PSG is scheduled to visit Lens on Saturday, April 11 at 5:00 p.m. for the 29th round of matches. Strasbourg, on the other hand, is set to play Brest on Sunday, April 12 at 5:15 p.m. During this time, both clubs are scheduled to play their quarter-final matches in European cups. PSG will visit Liverpool on April 14 in the Champions League, while Strasbourg will host Mainz from Germany on April 16 at the Meinau stadium in the Europa Conference League.
The decision will be subject to a vote by the LFP board of directors on Thursday, March 26. According to Radio France’s sports department, the hypothesis is to postpone these matches between the 33rd and 34th rounds of Ligue 1, between May 9 and 16.
