A real race against time is engaged in Aveyron. Since Friday morning, a woman and her 13-year-old son, Élio, have not been heard from. The two disappeared without a trace from their home in Saint-Grat, Vailhourles. More than 24 hours after the alert, the gendarmes are fully mobilized. Investigations, led by the Villefranche-de-Rouergue company with the support of the Toulouse search section, are actively ongoing. While the Aveyron prosecutor has not officially communicated yet, the criminal track is now seriously considered, according to our information.
A man with a worrying profile
Because since that same Friday, another element troubles the investigators: the ex-partner of the missing person, father of the adolescent, is also missing. His current partner and their common child are also unaccounted for. Five people are currently missing. The man, identified as Cédric Prizzon, is already known to the justice system. A former police officer and former rugby league player for Villefranche-de-Rouergue, he has already been convicted of domestic violence against his ex-partner.
The incident dates back to September 21, 2020, in Vailhourles. A violent dispute had erupted within the couple, during which a knife was reportedly used. In June 2021, he was sentenced to six months in prison. Since that conviction, Cédric Prizzon had been claiming a “serious judicial error”.
The worst-case scenario
He had notably illustrated this through dramatic actions: hunger strike outside the Rodez courthouse, protests outside the town hall of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, alongside other fathers fighting for custody rights. On social media and in the press, he claimed that his son was “in danger” with his mother and criticized his inability to obtain custody rights. In 2021 already, a procedure for non-representation of the child had been initiated after he left for Spain with his son for more than two months without contact.
Today, a central question arises: has he left again with the adolescent? And if so, what happened to the mother, still missing? According to our information, her ex-partner, Cédric Prizzon, lived recently a few kilometers away from her, in a lodging in Savignac. Many questions are currently unanswered. Five missing persons, including two children, no sign of life. The worst-case scenario cannot be ruled out.
