The FPT School District is organizing an event on March 21 for students, teachers, parents, and technology experts. This national annual event is aimed at students, teachers, and parents, whether or not they are part of the FPT school system.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, director of the FPT group’s general education division, stated that the event aims to create a creative educational environment where students have access to technology and develop their scientific thinking through practical experiences.
During the STEM Open Day 2026, FAnRoC, the organizing body, is offering an artificial intelligence and robotics competition for primary and secondary school students. This is the first time this competition is being held on a national scale.
FAnRoC has attracted over 1,700 teams and more than 6,000 participants from over 1,000 schools across the country. Over 100 outstanding teams in the AI and robotics categories will advance to the national finals, where they will present innovative technological solutions with high application potential. These teams have the opportunity to win prizes totaling 7 billion VND and qualify for the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Vietnam 2027.
In addition to student competitions, the event features AI Educamp, an innovation workshop for educators and school system staff. Educators share their experiences in applying artificial intelligence to teaching, course design, and pedagogical management in the context of digital transformation.
This year, AI Educamp received over 400 local applications, with 75 selected for the national preliminary phase. Twelve exceptional projects will be rewarded at the event for their technological solutions with high application potential in the field of education.
Moreover, the workshop on “STEM Education and Gender Equality in the New Era” welcomed national experts and international speaker Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, head of UN Women in Vietnam.
The Open STEM Day 2026 event also offers an experimental space with over 20 stands dedicated to STEM. Participants can explore technological models, robots, artificial intelligence applications, and many innovative products designed by FPT school students; participate in scientific experiments, programming and robotics workshops, and enjoy a space for technological gifts.
