EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Michigan State University is holding its annual Science Festival throughout the month. This weekend featured the STEAM Expo weekend. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The expo took place inside the STEM Teaching and Learning Facility on MSU’s campus. The building was filled with activities and demonstrations educating adults and children in the world of science. “You never know what’s going to spark their initiation in the STEM field, and all of these people started somewhere,” said Lauren Froman, public programs specialist for MSU Science Festival. “We always want to be able to inform the public with access to education for these very important topics across all of the sciences.” Next Saturday, April 18, the festival has its “Choose Your Own Campus Adventure Day” across MSU’s campus from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Science Festival runs until the end of April.
