The Ghost Murmur system played a crucial role in locating the pilot who had gone into hiding after parachuting. According to the New York Post, this new technology uses quantum measurement of the magnetic field at long range to detect electromagnetic signals emitted by heartbeats. The data collected is then processed by artificial intelligence algorithms to distinguish biological signals from background noise.

Sources close to the development have stated that this technology is capable of detecting heartbeats at a considerable distance under optimal conditions. “In ideal conditions, if your heart is still beating, the device will locate you,” the source said.

The Ghost Murmur system was developed by Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works division, known for its advanced aerospace projects. Before being implemented, this system was tested on Black Hawk helicopters, and its integration into F-35 fighter jets is currently under study.

The rescue operation targeted a weapons systems officer pilot, codenamed “44 Bravo,” who had taken refuge in a mountainous area in Iran after his F-15 fighter jet was shot down. For two days, the pilot remained in an isolated area while Iranian forces conducted intensive searches. Although the pilot activated a Boeing locator beacon, his exact position remained unknown for a long time.

The mountainous environment, characterized by minimal electromagnetic interference, offered ideal conditions for the first deployment of Ghost Murmur.

During a press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump and CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that intelligence services had located the pilot safe and sound in a canyon. Trump specified that the CIA was able to spot the military personnel from approximately 64 kilometers away. Regarding the mission’s challenges, President Trump stated, “It was like looking for a needle in a haystack.”

However, intelligence officials also noted that this technology is not a miracle solution; it performs better in isolated areas with low levels of interference and requires significant data processing time.
