The event was broadcast online via the Zoom Meetings platform to nearly 70 high schools in the province.
During the workshop, Mrs. Nguyen Thu Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province, emphasized the importance of nurturing and developing entrepreneurship passion among high school students in accordance with government guidelines.
In line with the province’s development plan for the period 2021-2030, Lao Cai is focusing on green and high-tech agriculture, combined with tourism and logistics services development.
To meet these goals, high-quality human resource training and innovation promotion are urgent priorities. The Ministry of Education and Training officials called for a thorough and substantial workshop where experts and students can openly exchange ideas, helping students build a strong foundation and seize opportunities in a demanding environment.
Experts shared their experiences in entrepreneurship during the workshop, and videos showcasing advanced scientific and technological models from the Vietnamese Academy of Agriculture were presented.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Director of the Department of Finance and Planning of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented a document on “Human Resource Needs in the Context of Digital Transformation and STEM Education”, clarifying the new requirements of the job market under the impact of artificial intelligence and automation.
Practical sessions on student entrepreneurship, experiences sharing, and scholarship strategies were also conducted. A competition titled “Discover the Vietnamese Academy of Agriculture” was launched to increase interactions, with 16 candidates recognized for their excellent results.
The “High School Entrepreneurship and Innovation Journey 2026” workshop allowed students to realistically and diversely explore their career perspectives. The close connection between general education, university training, and the region’s specific needs will form a strong foundation for Lao Cai to develop a generation of competent and creative young talents ready to integrate and contribute to the province’s sustainable development goals.
