According to Cybernews, more than 16 billion login credentials have been circulating on the web since 2025. In the era of regenerative AI and deepfakes, digital authentication is called to change paradigms. The startup Yneuro, founded by Thomas Semah, has developed an innovative solution called Neuro ID that promises to be a nightmare for hackers. Forget your old passwords: Big media has tested Neuro ID for you.

“Due to too many unsuccessful attempts, your account is blocked for 24 hours.” Who hasn’t been in this uncomfortable situation, frantically trying to access their personal space after trying eighteen different combinations? Panic sets in, and all passwords are changed upon receiving a message like, “Your password has been compromised in a data breach.” Today, cybercrime heavily relies on regenerative AI to refine social engineering techniques and easily steal user data.

To address this major challenge, French startup Yneuro has developed a potentially revolutionary solution for neural authentication through brain electrical activity. This method is deemed more secure and non-invasive compared to existing biometric solutions on smartphones. The demonstration involves wearing a headband similar to bone conduction headphones or glasses.

Neuro ID analyzes brain activity in real-time to create a unique signature using four electrodes on the device. The technology ensures continuous access to the personal space without the need for facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, or iris scans. The goal is to integrate this solution into various devices, starting with smart glasses. This innovation, if successful, could outperform existing technologies like Windows Hello or Face ID.

The technology developed by Yneuro aims to provide a globally recognized solution while remaining transparent and 100% French. They prioritize sovereignty by owning patents and intellectual property. Yneuro is currently raising funds to accelerate the deployment of its innovation in strategic markets and attract new scientific and commercial talents to the team. By 2030, the goal is to establish itself as a new standard respecting user cognitive sovereignty. The solution aims to minimize friction during authentication processes, ultimately becoming a seamless part of daily life.
