The first diploma award ceremony for 2026 at the University of Foreign Trade awarded degrees to 1,265 students from its undergraduate programs. About 30% of these students achieved excellent academic results, with remarkable success in various areas such as scientific research, extracurricular activities, community service, and international outreach.
Many students in this cohort have won silver medals at the National Mathematics Olympiad for students in 2023, 2024, and 2025; second prize at the National Informatics Olympiad for non-specialized students in the 2025-2026 school year; second prize at the Science and Technology Awards for university students in 2024; second prize at the Asian Regional Programming Contest for non-specialized students in 2025-2026; second place at the Vietnamese Social Innovation Challenge 2023; first prize at the DAZONE Data Analysis Competition 2025; third prize at the North Region Artificial Intelligence Olympiad for Vietnamese students in the 2025-2026 school year, along with many other awards.
The University of Foreign Trade also mentioned that many student research projects have won prestigious prizes, with 7 groups receiving the Ministry of Education and Training’s Scientific Research Award, and 27 groups winning the University-level Scientific Research Award…
In her address, Professor Nguyen Thu Huong, the Dean of the University of Foreign Trade, stated that the K61 class had entered the university just after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the world had resumed activities to make up for over two years of missed opportunities. This class had supported their teachers in experimenting with many innovative teaching models, such as co-teaching, models that promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and international campus-to-campus cooperation programs. The university had continuously hosted high-level delegations, researchers, and international students. The CDIM model focusing on international career development had laid a strong foundation for the educational innovations being implemented at the University of Foreign Trade in its current growth phase.
In his message to the young graduates, the Dean of the University of Foreign Trade emphasized, “Dare to pursue your dreams and ideals, but understand that the path to achieving them is marked by many small steps. Cultivate humility and tolerance because the world is vast, and there are always challenges to overcome. I hope every student will be bright enough to pursue their dreams while remaining calm enough to continue evolving.”
