The drone is establishing itself in Pradines as a tool for learning and innovation. From building inspections to 3D modeling and drone soccer, the Zéphyr-Drone association aims to popularize this demanding and supervised hobby.

The sun shines, the sky is blue, and the sound of a motor is faintly heard. On this Saturday in Pradines, Nicolas Dubrun, who opened the first drone park in the department in 2023 near Cap Nature, offered a discovery day to showcase the various possibilities of drone usage beyond leisure activities like photography and videos.

Dubrun, who has been involved with drones for seven years, transitioned from a career in building drawing and road construction to specializing in drone inspections. He has invested €200,000 in his activities, which include building inspections, solar panel assessments, 3D modeling, and more.

Through his association Zéphyr-Drone, Dubrun shares his passion and expertise with others, including professional photographer and videographer David Leroy. Together, they educate people of all ages on drone flying, regulations, and safety measures.

Dubrun emphasizes the importance of understanding the risks and responsibilities that come with drone flying, especially in terms of safety regulations and environmental considerations. Zéphyr-Drone’s initiatives focus on providing a safe and educational environment for drone enthusiasts, preparing them for responsible flying practices.

In addition to educational activities, the association also offers drone soccer matches, inspired by the sport in the Harry Potter series, as a team-building activity. This growing entertainment option is gaining popularity in France and the Lot region.

For those interested, the park is open on Saturdays (weather permitting) with reservations required. Various sessions and courses are available, with prices ranging from €15 to €220 per person. For more information, contact Zéphyr-Drone at contact@zephyr-drone.fr or call 07 50 67 85 01.
