The Rouen Dragons are ready for the first match of the semi-finals of the ice hockey Magnus League playoffs, this Friday, March 27, 2026, against the Bordeaux Boxers. The first team to four victories will qualify for the final.

Second challenge for the Rouen Dragons in the ice hockey Magnus League playoffs. They face the Bordeaux Boxers in the semi-finals. A new series: the first to four wins qualifies for the final, with the first match taking place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Rouen Lacroix rule rink starting at 8 pm.

In the quarter-finals, the Rouen Dragons defeated Amiens, taking six matches to do so, with the final game taking place in Amiens on Monday night. Despite the tough battle against Amiens, coach Carl Mallette believes his players are ready both mentally and physically for the upcoming challenge.

“This is a new challenge against an excellent team,” said Mallette in anticipation of facing Bordeaux. The Dragons faced Bordeaux four times this season, resulting in three wins and one defeat, but according to team captain Loïc Lampérier, the slate is now wiped clean.

“The counters are reset to zero, we know it’s going to be a super complicated series, it will be tight, it will come down to details,” Lampérier stated.

The Rouen players have recovered well this week, as confirmed by Dragons player Simon Lafrance. “I believe everyone is in good health, which is very positive for us. The rest days have been good, and winning on Monday was a boost for us,” Lafrance said.

Two years ago, in the ice hockey Magnus League final against Bordeaux, the Dragons lost the first two matches before winning four in a row and securing their 18th French championship title. The first match of the semi-finals of the ice hockey Magnus League playoffs between Rouen and Bordeaux will kick off at 8 pm at the Rouen Lacroix rule rink. The second match will take place on Saturday, March 28, at 8 pm, at the same venue.
