Since their creation in 2013, the Sport & Management Trophies have established themselves as the national observatory for sports projects with impact. With more than 2,000 applications submitted, 450 nominees, and 150 winners honored throughout France, these numbers reflect a remarkable vitality and a constantly growing ecosystem whose standards have evolved over the years. Organized by TPS Conseil, a pioneer in sports strategy consulting, these trophies have successfully mobilized the energy of all field actors year after year to promote sports more widely in the country.
“For thirteen years, we have been dedicated to a meaningful and valuable sport,” says Jean-Luc Sadik, CEO of TPS Conseil and founder of the program. This realization, developed over decades of supporting communities, companies, and sports organizations, serves as the foundation of a program that values breaking down barriers and continually reinventing itself.
The winners of past editions exemplify this. From the FFCK for its innovative purchasing center and federal model, to the city of Cesson-Sévigné for its extensive school sports project, and MAIF Solutions financières for integrating rugby values into their management organization, these initiatives highlight how sports generate meaning and value beyond the fields on a daily basis.
“This year, our conviction to ‘Stimulate engagement on all fronts’ resonates even more strongly,” says the CEO. As financial challenges and uncertainties persist, the program aims to further highlight and celebrate innovative projects. A new People’s Choice Award has been introduced to increase exposure for future nominees, with the ceremony set for September 30 at the National Assembly.
The economic and societal impact of sports has been reinforced since the program’s launch in 2013, with sports now playing a crucial role in local attractiveness, social cohesion, public health, and citizen engagement. Businesses also benefit from sports’ ability to engage employees, enhance employer branding, create business opportunities, and address corporate social responsibility. Start-ups, focusing on sports and shared responsibility, are responding to a rising demand for more responsible practices.
Applying for the program means joining a committed and supportive community of thousands of project leaders, managers, elected officials, athletes, and personalities who share the belief that sports are not only meaningful but also a significant economic sector. Winners receive a year-long personalized support to boost their development, with projects evaluated based on effectiveness, impact, innovation, and reproducibility.
“The project leaders embody the energy, determination, and creativity that make sports an ongoing quest for identity, meaning, and connections for everyone, and a laboratory for the future of our society,” concludes Jean-Luc Sadik, CEO of TPS Conseil and Founder of the Sport & Management Trophies.
