As tradition dictates in the Center-Val de Loire league, the Mesland-Herbault motorcycle club will kick off the 2026 season with the opening of the open league championship this Sunday, March 22nd. Four categories and 180 riders are expected at the Tremblaie circuit, under a summery sun that will make the track dusty.

The open league championship consists of three series, for experts, intermediates, and amateurs. Among the top riders, Germain Jamet, former French MX2 champion and regional vice-champion last year, will represent Ruche Nouanaise. Sebastien Perez, winner in muddy conditions in 2025, will defend his title. Kylian Mégret, also a member of Nouan-le-Fuzelier, will not miss the championship opening.

Melvyn Pastorelli, a notable absence

However, MC Sassay rider Melvyn Pastorelli will not be present as he is competing in the French national MX1 championship. Herbaltois supporters will be rooting for their three licensed riders at the start: Bruno Gomes, Gaétan Bouzy, and Valentin Vauche.

Legendary Jean-Charles Menon, the record holder for wins at the Tremblaie track, will also be present to challenge Anthony Hamon for victory in the veterans category. Jean-Rémy Chadeleau (Ruche Nouannaise) and Guillaume Dallerit, a former member of MC Mesland-Herbault and a track expert, will also be contenders.

They will all be there to provide an exciting day full of thrilling battles. The show starts at 8:40 am.

This Sunday, March 22nd, in Herbault. First races begin at 1:30 pm. Entrance fee: 8 euros, 5 for reduced rates, and free for children under 12. Snack bar and food available on-site. For more information, call 06.24.06.22.69.
