Thierry, a 50-year-old drummer, discovered his passion for drumming during a trial drum lesson where he learned the basic rhythm of “poum tchack”. Despite never holding drumsticks before, he felt like a rockstar playing Highway to Hell by AC/DC. Inspired by a flyer for drum lessons, Thierry took the plunge and started drumming.
An enthusiast of rock ‘n’ roll and hard rock, Thierry, a karate instructor, never imagined himself behind a drum set. However, a red light in Belfort changed his mind when he saw an advertisement for drum lessons. Believing it was too late to learn an instrument, Thierry took a bold step and pursued drumming at 63 years old.
Under the guidance of the skilled drummer Jean-Pierre Guichard, who played for bands like Oc̩an and Ange, Thierry honed his skills in drumming Рlearning to place notes, improve coordination, and synchronize movements. Despite the initial challenges, Thierry remained motivated and disciplined throughout his drumming journey.
