At the end of the four special stages of the day, Nicolas Rouillard claimed victory at the 43rd Rallye du Quercy.
Winner of the Mâcon Rally in 2024 and the Chasselas Rally in 2025, Nicolas Rouillard added the Rallye du Quercy title to his list of achievements this weekend. Driving his Citroen DS3 R5 alongside Christel Olivet, the 32-year-old driver took the lead from the first special stage and held onto the top spot until the end of this 43rd edition.
Out of the four special stages (including the Lalbenque-Belfort stage of 6.2km and the Esclauzels-Saint Cirq Lapopie stage of 13.8km repeated twice each) in the 2026 edition based in Lalbenque, Nicolas Rouillard set the fastest times in the first three special stages before taking second place in the fourth and final special stage to secure the overall victory.
“We came here to win, we had the car to perform, and everything went well. I knew the Esclauzels-Saint Cirq Lapopie stage and discovered the Lalbenque Belfort stage. These are two very beautiful special stages. It’s the fourth time I’ve been here and the first time I’ve won. We had a very good weekend,” said Nicolas Rouillard, who will be participating in the Rallye du Val D’Agout in three weeks in Tarn.
“We felt better and better as the rally progressed,” noted Julien Marty, finishing second behind Nicolas Rouillard and ahead of Frederic Meurant in third place. Romain Auvert and Michael Lobry followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively, expressing satisfaction with their performances in the rally.
