Tyson Fury Returns From Retirement to Defeat Arslanbek Makhmudov

For his return from retirement, Tyson Fury defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov and immediately challenged his longtime rival Anthony Joshua. At 37 years old, Fury came out of retirement for the fifth time to face Russian boxer Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of 60,000 spectators. The veteran boxer emerged victorious with a points win, over fifteen months after his last fight and a loss to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia. Following twelve rounds, Fury secured a unanimous decision victory with scores of 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109.

Joshua was present ringside during the fight, and after his win, Fury called out Joshua to face him next. Joshua, who is recovering from a car accident in December, responded to Fury’s challenge by stating, “I knocked you out when we were kids, and I’ll do it again. You don’t tell me what to do, I’ve been chasing you for 10 years. I’m the boss, you work for me.”

Joshua later expressed a more cooperative tone, indicating that the contract will be sent for their upcoming fight, likely to take place soon. The highly anticipated match between Fury and Joshua, long awaited by English fans, seems to be on the horizon.
