The former Lyon and Rennes coach could have chosen not to travel to Occitania as he lost his father – Salvatore – on the night between Thursday and Friday, at the age of 84.

L’Équipe states that the coach spoke with his staff several times via video conference to give instructions before this trip to Occitania. Above all, he confirmed his presence on the LOSC bench at the Stadium.
