Among the 18 Ligue 2 clubs, only three have a surplus for the 2024-2025 season. The top spot goes to Lorient (more than one million euros in profit out of a 56 million budget), followed by Dunkerque (177,000 euros in profit out of a 15.3 million budget) and Pau FC (7,000 euros in profit out of a 9.6 million budget). This is a great achievement for president Bernard Laporte-Fray, especially as the club has started repaying its loan for the new stand it funded with its own money.

Over 4.5 million in sales

As for clubs facing deficits, Paris FC leads the pack with a deficit of -33 million euros (out of a 47.2 million budget), followed by Troyes (-11 million out of 43.2 million budget) and Red Star (-8.5 million out of 15.2 million budget).

In the case of Pau, despite receiving 2.3 million euros in TV rights, the yellow and blue club has boosted its sponsorship and advertising revenues to almost 1.5 million euros and has generated over 4.5 million euros in player sales. Matchday revenues stand at just 475,000 euros. This is the lowest total in Ligue 2, behind Paris FC (275,000 euros) which offered free entry to its matches.
