The Association Sportive Toulouse Futsal introduced futsal to young people in the country of Olmes as part of their sports promotion and collective practice discovery initiatives. Coaches and players from the association visited Lavelanet on Thursday, February 26th, at the Jacquard gymnasium for an open event at the Youth Space.

The AS Toulouse Futsal, with the motto “Growing Together,” is a well-structured club committed to developing futsal in their area, with several female and male teams competing in regional championships. The club regularly conducts activities in schools, CLAE, children’s associations, and with young audiences to introduce this dynamic and accessible team sport. Sabrina Sabel, the club’s communication manager, highlighted these efforts.

This outing to Lavelanet was organized for the first time in the area, featuring a sports and entertaining program. An influencer was also present during the event, participating in futsal initiations led by club educators and players to help everyone discover the sport and its techniques. There were interactions and photos with participants to facilitate direct contact between young people, their families, and sports figures. Discussions on the values of team sports, commitment, and players’ journeys were also held, followed by a friendly snack at the end of the event to encourage socializing and sharing moments.

The presence of Tahar, a well-known influencer with over 60,000 Instagram followers, was particularly notable, adding an extra opportunity to attract and motivate a young audience with personalities followed on digital platforms. This initiative aligns with the club’s goal of promoting sports and inclusivity, as well as developing sports practices in the region, according to the organizers.
