U18/U20 Hope League. Rouen champion, first victory for Gap

This past weekend, the final of the U18 Hope League took place in Saint-Gervais. Rouen is the new French champion in this category! In the U20 category, the Rapaces de Gap were looking for their first win of the season before another match on Wednesday.

In the U18 Hope League final, Rouen Dragons, who finished third in the regular season but ended with 12 consecutive wins, secured the title by defeating HC 74, Grenoble, and Amiens. Rouen had a perfect start by winning 4-2 against Grenoble and then 2-1 against the host club, HC74, to claim the trophy. HC74 finished second, and Isere had a dominant victory of 17-1 against Amiens. Paul Belval was the top scorer with nine points (3 goals, 6 assists).

In the ranking tournament (5-8), Villard-de-Lans’ Noah Gouyette was the hero with two shutout wins, securing the fifth position for his team. Cergy-Pontoise Jokers finished sixth, while Anglet and Caen struggled to avoid the bottom place. The Gothiques from Angers clinched the third spot in the tournament.

In the lower-ranking tournament (9-11), the Rapaces de Gap emerged as leaders with a 4-0 victory, while Strasbourg endured defeat in their final match. Thomas Boisson was a standout performer for the Gothiques in the U20 league, securing a crucial win over Angers.
