This weekend, MAS 31 is organizing its Easter tournament, bringing together over 144 teams, making it one of the most important in the region.

The Football Club MAS 31 (Mondonville, Seilh, and Aussonne) is hosting its traditional national Easter tournament on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, at the sports complex in Aussonne. Over the years, this event has become a key fixture in amateur football, establishing itself as one of the most important youth tournaments in the region.

Throughout the weekend, more than 50 clubs and 144 teams will grace the fields in Aussonne.

Teams from the southern half of France, from Nouvelle-Aquitaine to Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur through Occitanie, will make the trip. This geographic diversity illustrates the growing popularity of the tournament. “Every year, we are very proud to see so many clubs travel hundreds of kilometers to come to Aussonne. This proves that our tournament is recognized and appreciated,” says Gilles Galinier, the organizer.

The tournament includes age groups from U6 to U14.

The younger players will participate in non-competitive matches, while the older categories will compete in real competitions, inspired by the formats of the Champions League or the Europa League. All participants will be rewarded, in the spirit of friendliness and fair play cherished by the club.

Regarding organization, everything is designed to provide maximum comfort for teams and families. Results and information will be accessible in real-time through a dedicated platform, allowing fans to follow the matches’ progress and stick to a precise schedule.

Behind the scenes, nearly 80 volunteers will be mobilized throughout the weekend to ensure hospitality, catering, logistics, and security. Official referees from the Occitanie Football League and the Haute-Garonne district will also be present to oversee the matches.

A highlight for the youngest participants, the mascot “Lapinou” will once again be present. Throughout the tournament, it will take part in activities and award ceremonies, adding a festive touch to the event. Stemming from the merger of Mondonville, Aussonne, and Seilh clubs, “FC MAS 31 continues a tradition of over 35 years through this tournament,” concludes the tournament organizer. This sports and human event helps showcase amateur football well beyond the local area.
