Pogacar motivated “without pressure” for Paris-Roubaix

Tadej Pogacar said he is “very motivated” for Paris-Roubaix while also stating that he will approach the Hell of the North “without too much pressure” following his victory on Sunday in the Tour of Flanders.

“I will go to Roubaix with great motivation and we’ll see what happens. There is not too much pressure on my shoulders. The pressure will be low, like in the tires,” joked the Slovenian in a press conference.

“I am only two out of five. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s enjoy the moment,” evaded the two-time world champion, when asked about the Monument Grand Slam. He has already won Milan-Sanremo in March and hopes to have “as good legs” in Paris-Roubaix as he did on Sunday.

Asked about the fatigue his dominance could generate among his colleagues, he replied: “I don’t know. Maybe for some, yes, for others, no. I have only worn three race numbers this season, while there have already been I don’t know how many races.” “I am lucky to continue to improve.
