To stay in shape, it is essential to engage in regular physical activity. This can be done in a gym, outdoors in a park, on a sports field, or at home. In “Bonjour! La Matinale TF1,” Sandrine Arcizet regularly provides advice on improving your tonicity and endurance by performing simple and accessible exercises, all while staying at home. This Friday, our journalist was particularly inspired by a specific sport: tennis.
An exercise inspired by tennis to strengthen your wrists
In her segment, Sandrine Arcizet explains that tennis is an excellent source of inspiration for exercises. This is because it is a very comprehensive sport that works the entire body, reflexes, and reactivity. To start your home session, our expert recommends working on your wrists. “In tennis, wrists are crucial. Plus, it’s important in your daily life to work on your wrists,” says Sandrine Arcizet, before describing the first exercise. Our expert suggests standing straight, bending your elbows to 90 degrees, palms facing forward. Then, bring your wrist inward to contract the forearm. “I used a ball, but you can do as you like at home. We will bring the fingers towards you to strengthen all the muscles up to the elbow,” adds our expert.
Tennis: another exercise to work on your glutes
Sandrine Arcizet reveals another exercise, directly inspired by tennis, to work on the lower part of your body. This time, our columnist advises you to mimic the position of tennis players when they are waiting for their opponent to serve the ball. Once you have done this step, you must touch the ground with your hands before quickly standing back up. “Here, we return to the position where we are waiting for the ball. We work primarily on the thighs and glutes,” continues Sandrine Arcizet, before concluding: “And we finish with a little stretch. It’s very simple at home, all thanks to tennis!”
