The students of the Jouffroy-d’Abbans college in Doulaincourt received volleyball players from CVB 52 playing in the Marmara Spikeligue, on Tuesday, March 24.
The young people were eager to meet these high-level players, who have been passionate about sports since a young age and have turned it into a profession. The meeting started with a table discussion with many questions, followed by a signing session and a series of passes in the courtyard, as the gymnasium was under renovation.
The players provided insight into the challenging profession of a professional athlete, emphasizing the short career span and the risk of injuries. They highlighted the importance of motivation, perseverance, discipline, and managing external pressure and strong emotions. Representing their club and sometimes their country in competitions, they play for their audience. The students learned that being a professional in sports requires daily training and offers the joy of traveling as a rewarding experience.
