Portrayed by the results of its first team in Regional 1, Montpellier Atlas Paillade now seeks to make a name for itself on the futsal scene in Occitanie.
Relying on the youth of the club to climb the ranks of futsal in Occitanie. This is the successful bet of the Montpellier Atlas Paillade side, which despite a still very recent project, finds itself in a strong position today to secure its spot in the regional elite. “We started very well, even though it became a bit more complicated for a few weeks. Fortunately, we managed to secure our place for the promotion group. Now that we are there, we will have to give everything to stay ahead of Bouloc and Narbonne, which should allow us to move up to Regional 1. It would be really positive for a first year,” said coach Moncef Manseur, a few days before facing Jeune Entente Toulousaine in the quarter-finals of the Occitanie Cup. “When we eliminate Beaucaire as we did in the previous round, we inevitably get caught up in it. Now that we are here, we clearly want to advance to the next round and secure a spot in the semi-finals.”
Context: Montpellier Atlas Paillade is aiming to elevate its futsal team to the elite regional level with a youth-centric approach.
Fact Check: The team is gearing up for a crucial match against Jeune Entente Toulousaine in the quarter-finals of the Occitanie Cup on Saturday.
