What is your role within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Football League?
I am elected to the board and regional committee of the League. I am a member of the senior commission and the finance commission. I also represent the president, François Grenet, when asked, especially in regional appeal committees.
You are also co-president of Thibérienne Nord Dordogne and former president of ES Boulazac. Do you keep an eye on the results of this club?
I have been co-president of TND for over a year, which recently merged. As for Boulazac, I was present at their last match against the Girondins de Bordeaux reserves. I am very close to the matter and feel obligated to be present for the clubs in Dordogne.
Dordogne no longer has a club at the national level. Do you think the failed fusion between Trélissac and Bergerac is one of the reasons for these clubs’ descent?
The distance between the two clubs was too great, and the federation therefore rejected it. In my opinion, it would have been difficult for the two flagship teams to merge because in a rural department, people are attached to the identity of the clubs. Now, Bergerac is slowly recovering from the disaster that struck them, and the leadership is taking the necessary steps. As for Trélissac, who will be promoted, we are already preparing for the next season. This is very positive for the department and the region.
