In the race to avoid relegation for several weeks, the Tarn-et-Garonnais are pushing back the threat with good results. They can still believe but must not make any mistakes.

US Caussade-Rugby Causse Vezère neighbors, Sunday at 3:15 pm, in Caussade (Robert-Olive stadium). Referee: Mr. Axel Chamalbide (Nouvelle Aquitaine). Federals 2B as the curtain-raiser at 1:30 pm. Referee: Mr. Florian Voilquin (Nouvelle-Aquitaine).

After this afternoon’s game, only two matches remain to conclude the qualifying phase. The local team is in the final sprint that will determine the promotion to Federal 2. At this stage, three matches before the end, the Chapeliers are 12 points behind Decazeville, whom Maxime Palot’s teammates recently defeated away, and 13 points behind Lavaur. They face Causse Vezère this Sunday before going to the last-placed Malemort, then finishing at La Piboulette by hosting Lavaur. A clean sweep is mandatory. It may not be enough for survival, but could lead to a chance for a reprieve. Today’s match won’t be easy. In the first leg, Causse Vezère won 37-5. The team from Ozillac, who hosted Caussade in Nespouls, is fully engaged in the quest for qualification.

With a quality squad

Compared to the lineup that recently returned victorious from Decazeville, coaches Dominique Appy, Aliou Bodiang, Gaëtan Gasc, Anthony Crespo, and Helder de Bessa have made some changes. Nicolas Piès starts at hooker, along with Kélyane Heradi in the second row, while Pierre Barthére moves to the flank of the back row and takes over as captain. Lucas Escudié also starts in the back row to provide playing time for everyone, as does Baptiste Auzuech on the wing, Théo Chauderon in the center of the attack, and Hugo Brugidou at fullback. The bench will be of high quality to finish the match.

No match for the Beaumontois

No matches for Stadistes after the forfeits of both Malemort teams this Sunday. Five more “free” points beneficial to Tarn-et-Garonnais.

In Reserve, the Caussade team will have a tough task on home turf, facing the dominating team coming as the leader to defend their position. Against the leader, USC will line up: Royer; Bigouin, Betriu (captain), Rouzières; Gobbi, Arnaudé; Cauquil, Costes, Valette; Cazelles, Griseri; Monchovet, Bourdoncle, Diaz. Given the importance of the match, the players will need maximum support to push them towards victory.
