The school carnival, organized by the Rural Families Association Alrance-Villefranche-de-Panat, took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere on Thursday, despite unfavorable weather conditions.

Due to the wind and cold, the teachers and volunteers of the association decided to forgo the parade through the village to ensure the comfort and safety of the children. Students from the schools of Villefranche-de-Panat, La Besse, and Alrance gathered in the town hall to maintain the spirit of the carnival. Colorful costumes, festive music, and good cheer were all part of the celebration.

The Brick & Drac group, present to animate the event, contributed to the success of the day. In addition to their medieval music, the musicians offered a discovery of period instruments, piquing the curiosity of children and adding a playful and educational dimension to the festivities.

This necessary adaptation did not diminish the enthusiasm of the participants, and the celebration took place in a joyful atmosphere, proving that even without a parade, the carnival remains a highlight of sharing and conviviality for the schools in the area. The association is pleased to have once again been able to rely on the help of teachers, Atsem, AESH parent escorts, and residents who joined the children at the town hall to share this festive moment. The association looks forward to seeing everyone again next year for a new carnival.
