After a five-year break, the short film springboard returns this weekend to the Ti Hanok cinema. On Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th, 17 international films will be screened, divided into two lists, focusing on humor and gender.

“The project was made possible thanks to the partnership of the associations ‘l’assaut des rues’, ‘les Artisans filmeurs’, with the support of Cap Ressourcerie and la Cabanatous who stocked the Ciné Frip’. The proceeds helped to provide access to the cinema for the underprivileged and support the springboard project,” said Nanou Bresmal, assistant director and festival organizer.

A youth prize awarded by high school students

With the help of Léna Pradelle, employee of les Artisans filmeurs, two classes of second year students also met: Guéhenno high school in Vannes in the catering department, and Sainte-Anne/Saint-Louis high school in Auray in the audiovisual section. They awarded the youth prize to the film “Le jeune Sofiane” (to be discovered in one of the lists). The film’s director Fabien Ara will be present at the awards ceremony on Saturday, March 28th at 5 p.m.

“The Unis-Cité Vannes association is also involved, and we are organizing a shoot on Friday with young people in civic service, Guéhenno high school, les Artisans filmeurs, and podcaster Othman Irhai for sound recording, to define the concepts of commitment,” continues Nanou Bresmal.

On Friday evening, a gourmet break prepared by Esat La Chartreuse will bring together professionals and enthusiasts of audiovisual creation. This will be followed by a round table discussion with William Robin, president of the independent cinemas of Bourgogne Franche-Comté, and other guests, “to touch on the cinema of tomorrow, barriers and levers, and AI in all of this.”

On Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a workshop on “creating emotions through technique” will be led by Rémi Duquenne from the association Souliers (registration required).
