At the end of a journey marked by numerous victories in challenges and veto at Big Brother Canada, daily player Marie-Ève Beauregard had to leave the house on Sunday, not without attempting to return with the second chance challenge against her twin, her number one ally, Félix Dolci. It was ultimately the athlete who made his comeback on the show, to the great surprise of the players still in the competition.

Showbizz.net spoke with Marie-Ève this Wednesday, as the reality TV show wrapped up filming this week. We took the opportunity to talk to her about the topic on everyone’s mind, her romantic relationship with Félix. While things started on day 43, it was only after Félix’s eviction that Marie-Ève made the other players aware of their relationship.

“We had a really good team and for us, it’s important that the game remains the game, not to impose it on anyone. That was our thing,” she said. “Big Brother is not about that, and it was really important for us that it remains game the priority. I think that’s what stands out. We wanted to be seen as, and we still want to be seen as Big Brother players, players who were a big duo, who made moves together, who worked strategically.”

She mentioned that adjustments were first made by production to hide the relationship on screen: “We know what we’re experiencing. It’s our business. We tried a lot, and we allowed production to eliminate it as much as possible. After that, production told us it was no longer possible to avoid us. So, we said, ‘Okay, it will be that’.”

“We had more conversations. There were moments where we redid some parts to make sure nothing appeared,” she added.

“People didn’t really know,” she said. “But they suspected. We had a good bond, but we didn’t want to rub it in front of others.”

That being said, the contestant confirmed wanting to see where things will lead with the gymnast: “Well yes, we’ll see, but for now, that’s what it is. And you know, you’ll see more footage in the final confessional, they announced it.”

Indeed, the production is preparing a montage of moments that were not shown on screen between Marie-Ève and Félix, promising to make viewers experience strong emotions.

“It’s a beautiful bond of ours and being a good team, and I think that’s it. We didn’t see it coming that much, and I think maybe people saw that bond more than us, but we have always been a good team, good communication. Both of us have a lot of respect for each other, there is a lot of mutual help,” she emphasized.

The finale of Big Brother Canada is set to air on Sunday, March 29 at 6:30 pm on Noovo. The final confessional will be shown the following week.
