Discreet throughout his relationship with Adriana Karembeu, the Armenian businessman finds himself today at the heart of a highly publicized legal battle. What do we know about the man who is still her husband?

On Monday, March 23, Adriana Karembeu surprised her 291,000 fans on Instagram by sharing a long letter denouncing “incessant pressures” and “attempts at destabilization” by her ex-partner, Aram-André Ohanian, with whom she is still married. The top model explains that she broke her silence to protect their daughter, Nina, who had become “the instrument and object of absurd and unbearable blackmail and negotiations.”
According to information from Le Parisien, this message from the former Slovak model follows a report filed by Aram-André Ohanian with the “minors” section of the Paris public prosecutor’s office on March 19. The businessman accuses the former Slovak top model of exposing their 8-year-old daughter to a “pornographic and disorienting environment.” An investigation was subsequently opened for “corruption of a minor,” “failure to fulfill parental duties,” and “incitement to the use of narcotic substances.”
“I cannot remain silent as soon as my daughter Nina becomes the instrument of maneuvers and procedures aimed at humiliating me, reaching me, and trying by all means to deprive me of custody, which has been shared until now,” reacted Adriana Karembeu, who rejects the “false and humiliating” accusations of her ex-partner. In her message, she also mentions “verbal and physical violence, injuries, and threats.” “I fled the violence, but it catches up with me at the very moment when I try to rebuild myself,” she laments.
Separated from the father of her daughter for four years now, Adriana Karembeu is currently in a simple and serene love story with singer Marc Lavoine, whom she regularly mentions in the media. Her divorce procedure with Aram-André Ohanian is still ongoing in Monaco. For now, little Nina lives most of the time with her father in Marrakech.
In Armenia, born in Armenia, Aram-André Ohanian immigrated to France in his adolescence. He spent several years in Marseille before developing his activities in Marrakech. Adriana and he were simply no longer on the same wavelength: “My businesses were at a standstill, I was depressed. She wanted to go out, travel, live. She needed it, I understand her. She chose Paris. I chose Nina.” And he hammered the nail on the time spent with their daughter: “You can’t invent a mom when she’s not there for real,” specifying that Adriana only takes care of Nina “eight days a month.”
On his Instagram account, the businessman presents himself as a present and loving father, regularly posting photos with his little girl, “his angel,” “his life.” “I am Armenian, oriental: for me, values are family,” he insisted in his interview with VSD.
