Camille Cerf, one of France’s most popular beauty queens, was crowned Miss France in 2015. Since then, the young woman in her thirties has continued her career on television. She notably replaced Laurence Boccolini as the host of “Mot de passe: le duel” on France 2. More recently, on May 16th, France Télévisions entrusted her with presenting the live broadcast of the Eurovision alongside Stéphane Bern, watched by over 4 million viewers despite controversies surrounding the famous singing contest.
The mother of Malo recently spoke with Tél Loisirs, in an interview set to be published in their print edition on Monday, May 25th. She discussed the challenges faced by former Miss France winners in gaining legitimacy in the media after their reign, saying, “I am delighted that the channels trust us. After Miss France, critics said that I was taking the place of a ‘real’ host. We still have to prove ourselves even more than anyone else,” she stated, applauding the success of her fellow former Miss France winners Laury Thilleman, Delphine Wespiser, and Élodie Gossuin on television.
Camille Cerf also opened up about her struggle with lipedema, a condition causing her legs to be painful and bruised. She explained that the inflammatory fat stored in her thighs has affected her self-image, and although the condition is incurable, she outlined various methods to alleviate symptoms, including lifestyle changes, lymphatic drainage, swimming, compression socks, and walking.
Furthermore, Camille Cerf revealed her insecurities about her abdomen following the birth of her son Malo. She shared her difficulties with accepting her postpartum body, particularly her stomach, on Instagram. Despite being named the most beautiful woman in France, it seems that Camille Cerf still battles with body image struggles.
