In December 2025, the singer of “Femme de couleur” had already had to give up her role in the same musical due to “medical advice”. Despite intensive training and two public performances since then, the star of the 2000s has not been able to cope. “I have to face the fact that I am not ready. I still experience daily dizziness that prevents me from going on stage,” explained Shy’m in a message posted on her Instagram account.
She wants to get back on stage “quickly”.
At the age of 40, the artist explained that she had experienced challenging weeks. “A bump on the head when you’re not the Boss you think you are,” she wrote. In this long message, Shy’m explains that she needs to take the necessary time to “heal the pains, the boo-boos of life, especially the boo-boo life, the opinion of the boo-boos too”, ensuring that her body “did not give [her] the choice but to obey.” But she hopes to return “quickly”.
Now, the singer is officially replaced by actress Lisa Lanteri. In an interview with Le Parisien last November, Shy’m had admitted that she had “never worked so hard”. “It was even tougher than I expected! I think we underestimate the work of musical theater artists,” she confided.
