Thibault Morlain

Journalist

After trying out different sports, Thibault turned to a career as an amateur footballer. When faced with the choice between becoming a professional footballer and a journalist, his qualities tipped the scales towards a different side. He is now part of the 10 Sport editorial team, following a diploma from the International Institute of Communication in Paris.

Today considered one of the best football clubs in the world, PSG can rely on some famous supporters. Personalities who, for some, would not say no to working for the capital’s club. Of course, wearing the PSG jersey and playing alongside the Parisian stars is tempting, but some aspire to other positions.

At every PSG match, the stands of the Parc des Princes can be seen filled with notable names. The capital club attracts celebrities who, for some, have been loyal fans for many years. This includes France’s most well-known doctor, Michel Cymes. “When was my first match at Parc des Princes? On June 4, 1974, I was 17 years old. It was the promotion match to the first division after a victory against Valenciennes. Unforgettable,” he explained to Le Parisien in 2025.

“I Dreamed of Being PSG’s Doctor”

While known as a doctor, Michel Cymes is also a big fan of PSG. And it turns out that he would not have refused to work for the capital club. In the same interview, he explained about this “fantasy”: “I would have liked to be PSG’s doctor? Oh yes, I dreamed of being PSG’s doctor. But it’s a fantasy because to be a football team doctor, you need skills that I don’t have. You need to be a rheumatologist or an orthopedist. I’m an ENT specialist, so unless the guy has a nosebleed, I wouldn’t be very useful. Despite this, I have had some great experiences. When I worked for Le Télématin, I suggested following a match from the edge of the pitch with the paramedics. And that match was the PSG-Real game with Kombouaré’s famous header in 1993!”

PSG Made Michel Cymes Excited

Lacking the role of PSG’s doctor, Michel Cymes is a fervent supporter of the capital club. And last season, he was thrilled to witness the performances of Luis Enrique’s players: “There have been seasons with incredible matches. But the best season for a supporter is when his team plays well and gets results. We have experienced seasons where we reached the Champions League quarterfinals and I was bored at every match. Today, we have a very enjoyable game, with possession, incredible speed, and ultimately, the Champions League final. It’s a combination of things that make this season so special.”
