Bruno Salomone, a well-known actor to television viewers, has died at the age of 55. “He passed away this Sunday, March 15th after battling a long illness,” his agent Laurent Grégoire announced to AFP. A sad news that has led to many tributes, especially on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
“Unforgettable for his numerous comic roles, he became known to the general public with the group ‘Nous C Nous’, before leaving a mark on a whole generation on television,” writes Canal+, the primary broadcaster of the show Burger Quiz for which he was the narrator. “What sadness,” comments Dominique Farrugia, comedian and member of the “Les Nuls” group with Chantal Lauby, Bruno Carrette, and Alain Chabat, who was the host of the absurd TV show.
“What a blessing to have known you!”: The tribute from Frédérique Bel (Fais pas ci, fais pas ça) to Bruno Salomone
“From Graines de Stars on M6 to Caméra Café and Kaamelott, he left his mark on French television with his humor and unforgettable characters. Thank you for the laughter and memories,” details the sixth channel of the TNT, where the actor shone in the early 2000s. It was on France 2 that the actor became known for the series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça.
“Your laughter still echoes… Ouch! My god, it’s hard. Bon voyage Bruno. You can be proud of your time on earth. So much sweetness, simplicity, and humanity. What luck I had to have known you!” shares Frédérique Bel on Instagram who played Tatiana Lenoir in seasons 4 to 6.
Laurence Boccolini, Nagui, Kev Adams: broadcasters and comedians pay tribute to the memory of Bruno Salomone
Bruno Salomone was also honored by many other personalities from the PAF whom he crossed paths with. “I had the chance to see you in shows and even work with you… You’re going to be greatly missed,” comments former NRJ host Miko. “So many memories, laughter, jokes, and acting talent… La Méthode Cauet was also his playground,” Cécile de Ménibus adds.
“I learn with immense sadness of the passing, at 55, of Bruno Salomone with whom we shared so many laughs in the great era of ‘Nous c’est Nous’. A big thought for all your loved ones my Bruno,” writes Jean-Luc Reichmann. “Peace to your soul, you were a golden guy,” adds Kev Adams. “Goodbye Bruno. Thoughts to his loved ones,” posts Loup-Denis Elion (Scènes de ménage).
“You left taking with you your class, your talent, your strength, your laughter, your kindness, we will never forget you. Tender thoughts to your loved ones. Farewell artist,” posts Nagui on Instagram. “It’s a sad day. A journey too short for Bruno,” says Laurence Boccolini. “Great,” Florence Foresti simply titles while sharing a photo of the actor.
Valérie Bonneton: “We were expecting it, but it’s like a family member leaving”
“12 years, in Bayonne, I watched him on the Toc Show on France 2. He made me laugh even more than Jean Dujardin. Bruno Salomone takes with him a small piece of the adolescence of a whole generation. He was us,” summarizes journalist Paul Laurrouturou.
Valérie Bonneton, for her part, speaking to TV Magazine, said she was “extremely sad.” The actress who played Fabienne Lepic in Fais pas ci, fait pas ça remembers the “absolutely wonderful ten years” she spent with Bruno Salomone on the cult series. And even though she knew he was ill, the shock is no less harsh: “We saw each other for the last time not long ago. We were expecting it, but it’s like a family member leaving.”
