The sound of drumsticks now sets a new tempo for the Intercommunal Music School of the Auterivain Basin (EMILA). On the occasion of the inauguration of two new rooms dedicated to drums and percussion, the EMILA marks a turning point in its organization through a redesigned framework for musical practices. Located next to the music school, these two new rooms will be set up in the walls of the old DDE premises on Place Saint-Roch in Auterive.

Improvement work has been carried out to enhance the conditions for learning music. Until now, courses at the EMILA, especially those for drums and percussion, were held in a cramped and poorly adapted space near the train station in Cintegabelle. Now, students benefit from two specially renovated rooms with optimal acoustics and sufficient space for educational work and rehearsals under the best possible conditions.

Simplified logistics and a new dynamic. The immediate proximity to the clubhouse, where other classes are held, as well as easier access for people with reduced mobility, are changing the daily routines of families and teachers. Travel times are shortened, schedules are harmonized, and the school gains visibility in the heart of Auterive. This centralization of activities also strengthens cohesion and transversality among the different educational departments of the EMILA.

Through this inauguration, the music school confirms its commitment to adapting its facilities to the needs of its students and teachers, while strengthening its local roots. The new percussion rooms are just a first step towards a more modern, inclusive, and high-performing music school.
