During a day on Wednesday, April 22, the cinema at the Claude-Vigée cultural center in Bischwiller will offer, at the initiative of the MAC, an exploration of professional worlds through the lens of cinema. From the courage of everyday heroes to the passion of sports, and the behind-the-scenes of the 7th art, this day will shed light on professions that inspire and question, in order, perhaps, to awaken vocations.

Through this thematic day, the MAC reaffirms its commitment to offering a programming that is accessible, educational, and open to the world, where cinema becomes a field of exploration and imagination.

Screening: “Sam the Fireman”
Sam the Fireman returns to the cinema with 5 100% unreleased episodes and a big new feature: a brand new ultra-modern fire station! Thanks to this brand new base and a state-of-the-art mobile command unit, rescue operations reach an unprecedented level of efficiency in Pontypandy.

(Note: Duration of 55 minutes. For children aged 3 and up. Unique rate: 4 euros.)

Cinema-Snack: “Goat: Dream Big”
Will is a little goat with big dreams. When he gets a chance to join the professional league of “roarball” – a mixed, ultra-intense sport reserved for the fastest and fiercest beasts of the animal kingdom – he is determined to seize his chance and enter the big leagues.

At the end of the screening of this film, the basketball players from Alliance Sport Alsace (ASA) will meet the audience to answer all their questions about the profession of a professional athlete.

(Note: Duration of 1 hour and 40 minutes. For families, ages 6 and up. Rates: 4 to 7 euros.)

Cinema-Debate: “On the Front Line”
Floria is a devoted nurse who faces the challenges of an understaffed hospital service. Despite the lack of resources, she tries to bring humanity and warmth to each of her patients.

The screening will be followed by a debate led by Véronique Lauffer, from the National Order of Nurses, about this critical profession and the existing solutions for psychological support.

(Note: Duration of 1 hour and 31 minutes. In original language with subtitles. Rates: 4 to 7 euros.)

Cinema Dubbing Workshop
With actress Claire Arborem, children will learn how their favorite animated characters come to life through voice. In this workshop, they will learn to synchronize their voices with images, play with emotions and intonations to embody a variety of characters.

(Note: From 1 pm to 2:30 pm. For children aged 8 to 12. Free workshop. Registration by email at cinema@mac-bischwiller.fr or by phone at 03 88 53 75 05.)
