The global star adds six new dates in Paris, bringing the total number of planned concerts in the French capital to 16.

Six additional concert dates have been added to the ten previously announced for Celine Dion’s return to the stage in Paris in September and October, announced the global star’s team on Tuesday, the first day of pre-sales.
These new concerts will take place on September 18 and 25, as well as October 2, 9, 16, and 17, according to the official website of the Quebecois singer. The new dates bring the total number of planned concerts at the Defense Arena to 16.
In total, Celine Dion plans a five-week residency starting on September 12, with performances on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
General sale on Friday
On March 30, her 58th birthday, the star announced, through a video and messages projected on the Eiffel Tower, her return to the stage after six years away from the public, amidst a pandemic and persistent health issues. Since 2022, she has been suffering from stiff person syndrome, a rare incurable neurological condition.
After a rush from fans to enter a huge lottery allowing access to the early ticket sale, pre-sales opened on Tuesday, before a general sale on Friday.
Organizers have repeatedly urged vigilance against scams, emphasizing the need to go through the three official ticket agencies, namely Ticketmaster, AXS, and Fnac Spectacles. Each concert will be able to welcome around 30,000 spectators.
Celine Dion is also set to unveil a new song written by Jean-Jacques Goldman on April 17, the man behind the album “D’eux,” which remains the best-selling French-language album in the world with around 10 million copies. (jzs/ats)
