Geely Technology Europe – the European R&D center of the Geely group – and 3SS, a specialist in digital entertainment solutions, announce the launch of the Entertainment Hub by Zeekr, a next-generation embedded multimedia platform deployed on several Zeekr models in Europe. The system integrates the software expertise of Geely Tech EU and the 3SS 3Ready Automotive platform to offer an entertainment environment directly in the vehicle.
What the Entertainment Hub offers concretely The platform gives drivers and passengers direct access to their favorite streaming services, live television, and news channels, with over 15 major international content providers integrated natively into the vehicle screens. The use is clear: enjoy a series during a charging stop, catch up on the news while waiting to pick up the kids from school, or simply access usual content without complex manipulation.
The system runs on Android Automotive OS, providing a scalable base on which Zeekr maintains total control of the user interface, experience, and content distribution. Compliance with automotive performance and security standards is ensured from the design stage.
A notable technical point: thanks to the 3SS experience management system, Zeekr can push branded content directly into the vehicle – information about services, product updates, exclusive offers – without the need for over-the-air software updates. A operational flexibility that changes how the manufacturer can communicate with customers post-purchase.
A feedback loop integrated into the vehicle What sets this platform apart from a simple streaming aggregator is the integration of a direct communication channel between Zeekr and its users. A dedicated channel within the Entertainment Hub allows the brand to send personalized responses, updates, and service information directly to the vehicle screen. The car becomes a full-fledged point of contact in the customer relationship – no longer just a delivered and forgotten product, but a living platform that evolves based on user feedback.
The platform also integrates analytical capabilities that allow learning from usage habits, personalizing recommendations, and refining the experience throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle. A smartphone logic translated to the automotive realm, within the constraints of security specific to this context.
Christian Hering, Head of Intelligent Software at Geely Tech EU, sums up the ambition: “For us, launching an embedded entertainment platform for Zeekr meant integrating the vehicle into the digital lives of our users. The dedicated Zeekr channel allows us to visually and directly close the feedback loop with our customers, creating a more transparent and engaging relationship.”
Deployment on multiple models in Europe This launch comes in the context of Zeekr’s ramp-up in the European market. Geely’s premium brand made its first deliveries in Germany and launched sales in Italy, Spain, and Portugal in recent weeks. The Entertainment Hub will be deployed on several models in the European lineup, although the full list of vehicles involved was not specified in the announcement.
The agreement with 3SS is part of a broader strategy by Geely Tech EU, which recently consolidated its R&D centers in Gothenburg – the successor to China Euro Vehicle Technology (CEVT), founded in 2013 – and Frankfurt, formerly Lotus Tech Innovation Centre. This consolidation aims to strengthen the development of vehicles for international markets under the Zeekr, Lynk & Co, and Geely brands. Felix Walter, Chief Growth Officer Automotive at 3SS, concludes: “Geely Tech and Zeekr approached this project with a clear ambition: to make digital entertainment an integral part of the vehicle experience, rather than just an add-on.”
