The park located behind the Jean-Jacques Delmas stadium was truly overrun by a multitude of children craving chocolate.
60 kg of chocolate. Twenty volunteers. A huge crowd, almost impossible to count. Two hundred? Three hundred people? More? The fourth Easter egg hunt organized by the Festival Committee of Mende, on Monday, April 6, 2026, was once again a popular success.
The ranks were already well stocked by 10 a.m., in front of the entrance, half an hour before kick-off. Some children were visibly excited and craving chocolate, starting as if their lives depended on it.
A good time with friends and family
Always organized, the volunteers had planned two routes, one for the little ones and one for the older children. And to ensure everyone could fill their bellies, charitable souls were supplying both sites. Once the good Samaritans were gone, the activity turned more into a hunt for egg throwers rather than a search for sweets.
And for the parents? There was the “team we help the children” or “we chat and soak in the sun” option. In any case, a good time with friends and family.
