Musiques Démesurées
Clermont Ferrand – April 18-26 Programming imagined by the composer Mikel Urquiza. Woman, life, liberty. These three words are red threads throughout the repertoire. There are numerous pieces written by women: Europeans (Borzelli, Lamb, Sinnhuber) or not (Balch, Choi, Toraman), young (Glojnaric, Jeon, Lorusso), famous (Bauckholt, Mochizuki, Saunders), or even mythical (Berberian, Gubaidulina, Saariaho) – including Iranians (Khayam, Modarresifar). It is an opportunity to immerse into the music that celebrates life, such as Bastien David’s Metamorphoses, which invites us to listen to the minuscule, or Jean Luc-Hervé’s quartet, which plunges us into the sounds of the forest. And let’s not forget the fight for freedom! Stalagma by Silvia Borzelli pays tribute to Anna Politkovskaya, a journalist assassinated by Putin.
The 10th anniversary of B Records
What is live? It’s the essence of music. Its reason for being. Its fuel. For the past ten years, our label B Records has been capturing the ephemeral power of the concert using microphones as catalysts for emotions. Endlessly repeated, meticulously prepared, every live event is at the mercy of the moment. That’s what makes it beautiful. Each concert is unique because it results from a combination of momentary circumstances, unreproducible, linked to the artists, the listeners, and the venue. B Records always strives to be at the forefront of this process.

Music Promenade at Philharmonie de Paris April 13 at Philharmonie de Paris Celebrating their thirtieth anniversary, the National Centers for Musical Creation (CNCM) propose an unprecedented sound journey combining loudspeaker orchestras and performances. Eight artists, representatives of the vitality of contemporary exploratory music, have been invited. Each is entrusted with a commission and presents a creation specifically designed for the event. These works are produced collaboratively, resulting in various forms – solo, duo, trio, or tutti – involving both composers and performers. Articulated between amplified sequences and acoustic proposals, the evening unfolds a succession of scenes and listening stations set up in the concert hall, offering a multi-dimensional sound experience driven by the collective dynamic of this program. INA GRM participates in the event by sequentially implementing its acousmonium, blending unpublished pieces of invited artists and essential works by electroacoustic composers.
