The disappearance of Loana, which occurred on March 25, 2026 in Nice, has revived many memories linked to her extraordinary journey. From her meteoric rise after “Loft Story” to her more challenging years, her story has deeply marked the French media landscape. Among the symbols of this contrasting trajectory, her real estate assets alone tell the story of this shift. As reminded by Gala magazine, the former reality TV star had successfully acquired an apartment in one of the most coveted neighborhoods of the capital, before having to part with it a few years later.
After “Loft Story,” Loana treated herself to a 90 square meter apartment in Paris. At the beginning of the 2000s, Loana’s life changed after her victory. In a matter of weeks, she became one of the most famous faces on television, propelled to the status of a reality TV star. In the end, with a prize of 1.5 million francs, equivalent to just over 336,000 euros today, she chose to invest quickly in real estate. She acquired a 90 square meter apartment in the prestigious Trocadéro neighborhood, in the highly sought-after 16th arrondissement of Paris. In this place, she led a relatively peaceful life, away from the media frenzy. She especially enjoyed cooking and creating a cozy environment. As reported by AD Magazine, she said: “I have a 500-liter and a 200-liter aquarium, it’s my TV for me.” This apartment then embodied her success, symbolizing a newly acquired stability after a sudden and intense notoriety.
But this stability did not last. Over the years, personal and financial difficulties weakened Loana’s situation. As revealed in the documentary “Loana, tragic destiny of a broken icon,” which aired on CStar last Monday, this sale could have secured a more serene future for her. She was able to sell her property for more than double its purchase price, around 800,000 euros. However, this significant amount was not enough to secure her finances. A substantial part, nearly 100,000 euros, was directly taken by the tax authorities. The rest quickly disappeared. The former reality TV star reportedly made numerous expenses, including treating her loved ones to trips. At the same time, her then-partner allegedly used her credit card without her knowledge, making numerous payments. Gradually, the money from the sale of her apartment vanished, almost entirely disappearing. In the last years of her life, Loana had settled in her hometown of Nice. After being hosted by her mother, she lived in a two-room apartment where the rent was covered by producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert. This striking contrast alone tells the other side of her celebrity life.
