On April 5, 2026 at 8:03 PM, five directors took over the Fabre Museum in Montpellier and delivered sensitive, free, and resolutely contemporary interpretations through “Out of Frame”. These short films, at the intersection of fiction, documentary, and experimentation, will be presented to the public on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:30 PM at the Diagonal Cinema.
In the presence of the directors, these films were conceived as blank canvases, allowing filmmakers to explore the museum through their own imaginations. The Fabre Museum becomes a material of narration, a projection surface, and a field of experimentation, whether in decor, subject, spaces of memory, or fictional territory.
Presented on April 7 at 7:30 PM in partnership with Cinéma Diagonal, this screening offers a unique immersion in a museum in motion, far from any fixed approach. It reveals a dynamic space, marked by contemporary writings and open to artistic hybridizations.
The screening will be attended by the directors and followed by an exchange with the audience.
