In the wake of a famous game of deception, the program Les Traîtres is known for being particularly psychologically challenging. For days, players are locked in a castle and must uncover those who, little by little, try to eliminate them discreetly. Over the seasons, many contestants have explained how difficult it was to distinguish truth from lies. The pressure is so intense that the intervention of a psychologist is sometimes necessary during the filming of the program. As the 6th season of the game started on Saturday, March 28th on M6, Éric Antoine, the historical presenter, noticed real differences among participants based on their professional environment.
What professions are the most pressure-resistant in Les Traîtres?
As reported by Télé-Loisirs, the comedian explained that high-level athletes are the ones who withstand stress the best:
“They are used to the stakes and pressure. He then cited the example of footballer Emmanuel Petit, who joined the cast this year and was targeted during the first round table by several players: ‘He doesn’t care at all and that’s typical of high-level athletes. When you are a world champion, you have been under such a level of stress and criticism your whole life… They have a phenomenal pressure on their shoulders,’ assured Gennifer Demey’s husband.
On the contrary, according to Éric Antoine, the contestants who suffer the most from the filming conditions are content creators. Why? “They suffer from the slightest change in image. They are always afraid,” says the presenter. These players ask themselves many more questions and fear not being liked by the public: “Will I be loved, will I not be loved, did I say something nice?”
What is the toughest role in Les Traîtres according to Éric Antoine?
But ultimately, the toughest role in the show is that of Traîtres, he assures. In addition to bearing the responsibility of eliminating players, those who find themselves at night in a red cape must lie to others, while forming real bonds of friendship. “If they do not take a step back, they consider themselves to be villains and have a very difficult time living the adventure,” explains Éric Antoine.
Despite everything, Éric Antoine highlights the strength of the program: a cast that mixes very diverse profiles. An author, an actor, a world champion, or even a politician can confront each other or become very close. “I believe that only this show offers that. It’s the best casting I’ve seen,” notes the magician enthusiastically. Once again this year, the audience enjoys witnessing the battle between the Traîtres and the Loyalists!
