In Barjols, a town in Var located 70 km from Toulon, the second edition of the Spring Festival will be held for free from May 15 to 17, 2026.

Following the success of its first edition, the Spring Festival is establishing itself as a major cultural event in Provence. Organized by the City of Barjols and the Cultural Institute “Le Jardin des Arts”, the event will take place from Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the heart of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption. Over three days, music lovers can enjoy a series of concerts ranging from classical to gospel, jazz, and chamber music.

The festival will kick off on Friday, May 15 at 6:30 pm with the Bessillon Harmony Orchestra (OHB), one of the oldest musical associations in the town.

The program for the festival includes performances by the Trio Les Anch’anteurs on Friday at 9:00 pm, Divin’Gospel Music’s “Amazing Grace Tour” on Saturday at 9:00 pm, and the Diastema Camerata on Sunday at 6:00 pm.

The choice of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption as the main venue for the festival is significant. Founded in 1014 and elevated to collegiate status in 1060, this building is one of the oldest in the diocese. With a 13th-century choir and a 16th-century nave, the church offers a unique sound in the region, enhanced by a historic monumental organ. This exceptional setting gives the concerts a distinctive acoustic and historical dimension.

Barjols, known as the “Tivoli of Provence” for its many waterways, fountains, and washhouses, has a strong cultural and musical identity. Located 60 km from Aix-en-Provence and 22 km from Brignoles, the town is a focal point in the musical landscape of Provence, bringing together cultural actors, partners, and volunteers for collaborative projects like this festival.

Access to all the concerts is free, but reservations are highly recommended for three out of the four performances. Parking will be available to facilitate visitor access.
