The Museum of Romantic Life invites us to a very special evening on May 23, 2026: activities are organized for the 22nd edition of the Night of Museums in Paris.
You loved the movie “Night at the Museum”? We offer you to experience the same adventure… well almost. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, museums, monuments, and castles in France invite us to the “Night of Museums”: an evening of exhibitions, concerts, animations, and surprises of all kinds, for the whole family.
The Museum of Romantic Life also participates in this 22nd edition and offers us a timeless moment through the performances organized in the various spaces of the museum. It’s an opportunity to rediscover the home of Ary Scheffer and his artist friends, like the famous George Sand, who left a mark on Parisian life in the 19th century. The Night of Museums also allows us to enjoy the temporary exhibition currently presented in this hidden museum in the 9th arrondissement.
So, what can one actually do during this special evening at the Museum of Romantic Life? Discover the program of festivities, and don’t forget: this museum is quickly overrun by Parisians during the Night of Museums. It is advisable to arrive early not to miss the evening’s animations!
The program of the Night of Museums at the Museum of Romantic Life
- Duo Voco-Cello, Franco-Korean meeting between voice and cello
- Saturday, May 23, 2026 – 19:00 to 22:30
- The Museum of Romantic Life welcomes the Duo Voco-Cello, bringing together two artists from the Opera National Montpellier Occitanie: Hwanyoo Lee, soprano with the Opera chorus, and Cyrille Tricoire de Haro, cello soloist supersoliste of the Orchestra. This proposal is part of the “Focus Korea” organized by the Korean Cultural Center in partnership with Paris Museums, celebrating the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France.
- The Duo Voco-Cello presents a program focused on the encounter between voice and cello, two timbres linked by breath and their ability to convey emotion. In resonance with the spirit of the place and its anchoring in the romantic imagination, the program weaves a dialogue between different works and repertoires, in a sensitive and transversal approach. Some works include a light electronic device, used in real-time to enrich the cello’s resonances and open the listening to new nuances.
- Designed for the Night of Museums, this program follows the rhythm of the evening and offers a musical moment apart, in harmony with the unique atmosphere of the night.
- The duo will perform three 30-minute passages each in the museum’s courtyard, between 7 pm and 10 pm.
How can one resist this program? For us, it’s a must, the Museum of Romantic Life is a must-visit during our Parisian Night of Museums!
