Jérémy Gisclon, better known as Jeremstar, is set to stand up for his beliefs. On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the content creator is being judged in front of the courthouse in Nîmes for disrupting a bullfight during the opening of the Vendanges festival in September 2025. Publicly advocating for animal rights, he had jumped into the arena after the killing of a bull, proudly displaying a sign saying “Fuck bullfighting.” “Violently pushed to the ground and dragged out of the arena” by security, Jeremstar then spent forty-eight hours in custody. “I hate bullfighting. It’s not art, it’s animal torture. This disgraceful tradition must be abolished,” declared the famous content creator once released. Today, as his trial begins, he regrets nothing and continues to boldly defend those who do not have a voice.

Jeremstar’s trial opens on Thursday, April 2

Jeremstar’s trial, scheduled for 1:30 PM at the courthouse in Nîmes on Thursday, is expected to be tense. The content creator will have to answer to the charges of two other activists as well as two members of the PETA organization. The accused could face up to one year in prison, a €15,000 fine, and a possible ban from accessing bullrings or sports venues. On his part, the influencer plans to clearly show his convictions by wearing a t-shirt with the message “Torturing bulls is a crime.” Just hours before his hearing, Jeremstar reaffirmed his position in a message: “If defending an animal being stabbed to death is a crime, then I accept it. There is no justification for torturing a bull to applause. What I saw tonight deeply shocked me, and I am proud to have acted to shed light on this atrocity that still takes place in the arenas of France,” adding: “They call it a tradition; I call it bloody cruelty and it has no place today.”
