Gabrielle Côté, the endearing goofball from Big Brother Celebrities, won the sixth edition by a crushing vote of 6 to 1 against her ally Oussama Fares. Immunities, coup d’état, jury management (and confusion): the one nicknamed “Kapie” delivered a masterclass in social and strategic gameplay throughout the season, leading even the “evil twins,” Félix Dolci and Marie-Ève Beauregard, to make a mistake that cost them. Almost everyone on the jury voted in the same direction.
Returning to reality, “Kapie,” the big winner of Big Brother Celebrities 6, opened up about her strategy, alliances, and the behind-the-scenes of her victory. Would she have been angry with Oussama for keeping Citron Rose for the final challenge, even though Citron ended up in second place? Who would she have voted for if she hadn’t made it to the grand finale?
She answers all of our questions.
Did you suspect that it was kind of a foregone conclusion against Oussama at the jury?
“No, I didn’t suspect it. Firstly, because we hadn’t seen the episodes. So, I had my vision of my own game, but I don’t know all the ins and outs of Oussama’s game. And Oussama got where he got for a reason, meaning he is extremely strong socially. I consider that the jury is a social challenge. So, I think he had his chances. Plus, there was also the fact that we were asked questions. And both of us had questions that were crunchy: there were still some curve balls that were sent our way. They were good questions, but both of us, when the screen closed and we were waiting for the vote, we thought: oh, we don’t know where this is going. I expected it to be closer than that, to be honest.”
